Masham Community Office

Masham is very fortunate to have a very active Community Office that has our Visitor Information Centre.  They have local maps for walks, have a small gift shop and their website gives information on local attractions and things to do. Click here to go directly to their attractions section

Fountains Abbey

A wonderful day out. Visit the ancient abbey ruins and an awe-inspiring water garden at this World Heritage Site. Don't miss the deer park and some lovely walks around the area. See the main web site here

Brimham Rocks

Thornborough Henges

These are an ancient monument complex that includes the three aligned henges that give the site its name. They are located on a raised plateau above the River Ure near the village of Thornborough in North Yorkshire, England. The site includes many large ancient structures including a cursus, henges, burial grounds and settlements. Further details can be found here.

Hackfall Woods

Marvel at this ancient woodland managed by the Woodland Trust and loved by none other than Dame Judy Dench. For details on the site follow their website here

Ripon Walled Garden

Satisfying customers is our top priority. Once part of the Bishop’s Palace, Ripon Walled Garden is home to the Ripon Community Link Charity. This beautiful and peaceful site was once a working kitchen garden and has been used and developed by the Charity since 1995 working with adults and young people with learning disabilities. The site boasts a garden centre, ancient orchard, woodland and a new café and shop. With free admission and plenty of parking. See their details here.
